Professor Green (Ph.D., University of California at Berkeley, 1988) is the author of four books and more than 100 essays and is on faculty at Columbia in their Political Science department. His research interests span a wide array of topics: voting behavior, partisanship, campaign finance, hate crime, and research methods. Much of his current work uses field experimentation to study the ways in which political campaigns mobilize and persuade voters. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2003 and was awarded the Heinz I. Eulau Award for best article published in the American Political Science Review during 2009. In 2010, he founded the Experimental Research section of the American Political Science Association and served as its first president. Prior to joining the Columbia faculty in 2011, he taught at Yale University, where he directed the Institution for Social and Policy Studies from 1996 to 2011.
Mr. Geoff Vuleta is the Founder/CEO of “A King’s Ransom” and the Founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Fahrenheit 212 LLC. Mr. Vuleta served as the Chief Executive Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi and specializes in innovation and growth strategy consulting, marketing and advertising. He began a 20-year career in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather in New Zealand. He launched the New Zealand office of The Campaign Palace, Australia’s foremost creative agency and served as its Chief Executive Officer for 10 years and took The Campaign Palace from a start-up to one of the country’s top five agencies. He also won two consecutive Agency of the Year awards. He studied from Auckland University of Technology.
Michael has over 10 years of experience across strategy, media and finance working across a diverse range of industries including Telecom, Media, Technology and CPG with an emphasis on ecommerce and technology driven businesses. He is passionate about how media is changing the way we learn, sell and do business while understanding and engaging consumers better in an increasingly digital world.
Michael is currently a Vice President of Digital and Ad Tech media investing at Mediavest|Spark, a Publicis Groupe in NYC. In his role, he is part of the digital leadership team and supports the telecom/cable practice. Prior to this role, Michael was part of a strategy and operations team at Mindshare (WPP) servicing blue chip clients including IBM. Prior to transitioning to an agency, Michael worked at Google involved in business development across YouTube and Google Maps in Central and Eastern Europe. He also worked at PepsiCo where he was the media finance and strategy lead. In this capacity, he was instrumental in managing and implementing the company’s global media productivity framework while working with multiple agencies globally. He began his career as an analyst and later as an associate at Morgan Stanley and Jefferies & Co. in M&A Investment Banking.
Michael graduated with honors from the University of Richmond with a BSBA and BA. He was a fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his MBA in Corporate Finance and Investments. Michael was also a fellow and earned his MPA in International Relations, Management and Economics from Columbia University.
