Jakob leverages his background in statistics and probability theory to solve big data problems with finesse. He tunes ML pipelines to improve the predictive performance of our models and maintains a clutter of exceedingly polite web spiders used to gather data for our election forecasting app.
He enjoys camping, hiking and fishing in the mountains of Utah. On weekend nights you may also find him at the symphony with his wife, Josie.
Jakob graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science from Brigham Young University. After Passing Exam P, he chucked his TI-30XS Multiview calculator in the bin and started programming in Python.
